:but this one thing I do, Forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, (Philippians 3:13 KJV)
The past has a way of holding us back. It keeps us rooted and grounded in one place, unable to take the next step. Often, painful memories leave us frozen in time. Over the years there have been failures and disappointments that continue to hover over us. We are constantly reminded of our mistakes. Thinking on the things we should’ve, could’ve, would’ve done if things were this or that way.
But why dwell on the things that have already happened? What good does that do? We can’t change the past, but we can determine what can happen today. Why should our past hold so much power? It shouldn’t. Therefore, we must leave the past where it belongs… behind us. And we must reach toward a future that is limitless. One that is full of the blessings and promises of God, if we trust him. A future that has been set aside just for YOU!
I dare you to REACH!
Be Blessed Always,
