O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. (Ps. 34:8 KJV)
Sometimes, as I’m preparing dinner for my family, my children will come in the kitchen and ask, “Mom, What are you cooking?” I respond with the menu and immediately their facial expression changes to one of disgust. They’ll even say, “Ewww, I don’t like that.” I’ll look at them and say, “How do you know if you’ve never tried it?” I’ll proceed to take out a spoonful or break off a bitesize piece and give it to them. I then say, “Taste it.” They reluctantly taste it and sometimes (not all the time) their eyes will light up and they say, “Oh my God, this is so good!”, “Can I have some more?”
If they would have never tried it, they would have never known what they were missing. They would have never experienced the goodness. The same goes for experiencing the goodness of Jesus. If you don’t try him, you’ll never know what you’re missing. You’ll never know what he will do for you and how he will bless you. Your eyes will never light up in amazement of something that is so good.
I dare you to take the “Taste Test” and try Jesus for yourself.
Be blessed always,
Shatina Williams
