Don’t Lean

My morning prayer was not for any material thing. But rather that God’s will be done. It’s so amazing how quickly He moves when we give ourselves to him. No sooner than I had said just a few words I heard these, “Don’t Lean.” To many these few words may leave them asking questions. But for me, these words took me to chapter 3 in the Book of Proverbs .

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths. (Prov. 3:5-6 KJV)

In that moment, Don’t Lean meant don’t keep trying things my way. Don’t keep thinking of a million ways to do this or that – only to do nothing. Don’t keep worrying or stressing about things I can’t change. But instead, acknowledge God as the head of my life; allow him to have complete control, grant him full access, and let him lead the way. He will show me exactly what I need to do,when I need to do it.  And He will do the same for you. Be blessed always!
